We were travelling with our two kids so we just wanted a taster of a tour to kick start our short break. Chris did not disappoint. We saw plenty of… read more the key sites which make up Germany’s rich and colourful history delivered with just the right amount of narrative. Chris was able to answer all of our questions and his knowledge of local areas was also excellent. Finishing off with a coffee by Checkpoint Charlie was a nice way to end the morning.

Chris was fantastic – he was really enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Our children (aged 15,13,11) loved the tour. It was a really chilly day in Berlin, but Chris’s story… read more telling kept the children hooked and none of us had any problem with our engagement levels during the tour. I would recommend this to any families who would like to show their children the important historical sights in Berlin, but don’t know enough to teach the children themselves!

Really good, concise walking tour around the major historical sites in Berlin. Chris was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and engaging. Would recommend to anyone willing to see the most… read more in just 2hours.

Fantastic tour – Chris really knows his history, and has honed the complicated mass of detail into a concise but subtle presentation with just the right mix of facts and… read more psychological insight. He manages to convey the horrors of the Nazi regime right up to the last days of brutal fighting in the Battle of Berlin without dehumanizing the central figures, whose inhumanity was all too human. The tour itself is an easy walk that covers most of the key sites in Mitte (central Berlin), ending at the Topography of Terror, which provides a nice bridge to the Soviet occupation of much of the city that came next. I take walking tours in most cities I visit and I highly recommend this tour, which was at least as good as more expensive ones I’ve enjoyed elsewhere. Chris was also kind enough to go ahead with the tour even though I was the only person to sign up.

Chris was very knowledgeable and clearly enjoys doing the tours. He did not rush through the route, he was open to questions and was able to answer everything thrown… read more at him and engaged in conversation about wider issues. This was my first full day in Berlin and I now have a lot more knowledge and am keen to explore further on the basis of the guidance given by Chris. Felt like a very knowledgeable friend showing me around rather than a tour guide. Highly recommended
