La Herradura Coffee Farm: tour in Europe’s only plantation

1.La Herradura Coffee Farm: tour in Europe’s only plantation

★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 430 reviews · 1h 10m · from $17Our pick

Walk through La Herradura Coffee Farm with owner-guide Manuel, seeing productive coffee plants, mangoes, avocados, dragon fruit, sugar cane, lychees, and more. You’ll learn about organic cultivation, water use, soil care, and the family farm’s story, then finish at a 300-year-old cortijo with views, seasonal produce, and roasted coffee for sale.

“This was such an unexpectedly nice part of our holiday in Nerja. I was already convinced in advance when I booked it.....my husband and teen daughter were less enthusiastic, and my 11-yr-,old son was persuaded purely on the basis that he might get to taste fresh mango straight from the tree (ho loves manges!). Unfortunately for him the mangoes weren't yet ripe....but he was still very entertained on the tour, as were my husband and daughter! Huge credit to Manuel and his family for their inspiring stewardship of this beautiful plantation. Wishing them all the best for the future.”

3.Barcelona: Sunrise Standup Paddle Tour w/ 4K Video & Coffee

★★★★★★★★★★4.9 · 112 reviews · from $28

Meet Hessel and the SUP Spot Barcelona team beside Barceloneta Beach for a small-group sunrise paddle. You’ll get safety instruction, board guidance, 4K video, lockers, and winter wetsuits. After paddling, relax with coffee, tea, or water. You must be able to swim, and the session depends on safe sea conditions.

“Had a great time at the Sunrise SUP session! Hessel was super friendly and responsible — he communicated with us in advance, made sure we felt prepared, and the whole experience felt well organized and welcoming. Paddling out to catch the sunrise was magical. The only thing I’d suggest is bringing flip-flops or water shoes — the small stones on the beach were unexpectedly cold and sharp to walk on barefoot. Otherwise, amazing morning!”

The calm, clean setting also supports cat welfare and adoption. Socks are required, and children under six cannot enter.
